Ryan Baird Fundraising Evening PDF Print E-mail

Brisbane RSC and Brisbane NISC will be holding a fundraising evening on Saturday 25th March for the family of Ryan Baird who was tragically killed as he travelled to Ibrox from his home in Northern Ireland to support Rangers.


The event will be held in the upstairs function room of the Shafston Hotel, 3 Lytton Road, East Brisbane http://shafstonhotel.com.au/ from 6:30pm to Midnight. The cost will be $60 per head and will will include a 2 course buffet style meal and entertainment from the Brisbane True Blues and DJ, with the evening as below:


6:30pm - 7pm Pre Dinner drinks at Shafston Function Room


7pm - 7:30pm Brisbane True Blues appearance


7:30pm - 8:30pm Dinner


8:30pm - 9pm Fundraising Raffles


9pm - Midnight  DJ

 

Tickets are continuing to sell and the numbers for the evening is limited to 100 so it will be wise to get your ticket soon. Its that time of year again to have the Brisbane RSC End of Season Event.
This season rather than a Race Day on the Gold Coast we had decided to have a night in Brisbane City to try and get the number of attendees back up to previous numbers as Gold Coast did not suit everyone. The details of the night are at an early stage and shown below:
Sit down meal and 4 hour Drinks package at pig N whistle , Riverside
Meal will be an entree with a drop menu of rump steak, beef brisket or fish of the day, with local beers wine and bubble for the drinks package, all for only $100 per person
We are also looking at providing entertainment for after the meal, of a race night, team quiz, karaoke or similar, this is still to be determined and all suggestions welcome.
All of this will be happened on Saturday 30th April from about 7pm onwards. Which is also the last game of the season against St Mirren.
We will be Champions by that point so it will be a great night to get dressed up and celebrate Rangers back in the top league.

So if you are interested then please respond asap so that we can determine numbers and final meal, drink and entertainment.

Its that time of the season again where we can start to look towards the end of the season and our End of Season Event.  We had put it out to vote on where we should have this seasons event and by far the most popular was the race day at Gold Coast Turf Club as we have done the passed few years. So this year to celebrate the end of, what some have called, Rangers worst season ever we have decided to hold our event on Saturday 23rd May.

Most of you know what a great day it has been the last few years and it gives every one a chance to dress up and enjoy a great day out with friends and hopefully be lucky in a few of the races.

The cost for this event will remain the same as last year at $100 for paid up members of Brisbane RSC and $120 for non members and guests, Children aged 12-17 $40, aged 5-11 $20, and under 5 free for this you will get:

· Entry to the Racecourse and

· Access to Brisbane RSC's reserved seating area decked out in Rangers Colours

· Race Books

· Food throughout the day:

· On Arrival

o Chef’s homemade dips with corn chips

· Hot Selection - from 12.30pm

§ Tempura Barramundi goujons with tarter sauce

§ Prawn and garlic sensations

§ Vegetarian spring rolls with sweet chilli sauce

§ Petite beef pies

§ Chicken satays with peanut sauce

§ Shitake mushroom & mozzarella arinicini balls

o Afternoon Tea

§ Freshly made pikelets & scones served with fresh cream & jam

§ or

§ Boutique selection of Australian cheeses served with dried fruits, fresh strawberries and falwasser crackers

o Tea & coffee & chocolates to round off the day

· Premium drinks package - which starts on entry until 15mins after last race (5hours)

· Gentlemen: collared shirt only (t-shirts are not permitted), tailored trousers with belt, covered footwear must be worn. Full length dress jean are also acceptable as long as they are not torn or ripped.

· Ladies: blouse and slacks, slacks suit or dress

· Not acceptable: shorts, shirts without collars, t-shirts, singlets, tracksuits, thongs or sandals, joggers/running shoes, fancy dress

Any guests considered unsuitably attired WILL be refused entry


We are looking to confirm our numbers for this event by 1 May 2012, which gives you all 6 week to have a think and get back to us, a final date of payment for this event will be 15 May 2012. So if you could RSVP to this email asap if you would like to come along "or not" that would be greatly appreciated. Unfortunately we have had to cancel this event due to lack of deposits received in time.

Following on from a recent email, we can now provide a little more information regarding the BrisbaneRSC Golf Day 2014. Unfortunately we were unable to get any bookings for accommodation or golf at Ocean Shores Golf Course (maybe next year) but we have looked at other alternatives and the best offer that we have received is for Coolangatta / Tweed Golf Course.
We are looking at $200 for 2 nights accommodation and Golf including cart, prizes, transport to/from course etc etc, details below:

Date Arriving:         Friday 31st October 2014

Date Departing:      Sunday 2nd November 2014

Accommodation:    2 nights at Outrigger Resort, Twin Towns, Coolangatta

Room Type:            7 x 2-bedroom, dual key apartments (4-share in 4 single beds) + 1 x 1-bedroom apartment

Golf:                       1 Round


No. of Persons:       30 Persons


Resort Courses:

* Coolangatta/Tweed


Including:

· Motorised carts

· Green fees, Priority Reserved tee times & Daily set up

· Daily transfers to and from the course

· Time after play at the 19th hole

· “Nearest the Pin” and “Longest drive” holes organised

· Prize for the day’s winner


As you can see we have stated 30 golfers based on previous years numbers but if this number goes up or down then so may the cost.

This season to celebrate "Stage 2 Complete" Brisbane RSC will hold our End of Season event once again at The Gold Coast Turf Club on Saturday 24th May 2014.

For those of you who participated in previous years Race Days you will know what a great day it is and it also gives everyone a chance to dress up and enjoy a great day out with friends and hopefully be lucky in a few of the races.

2013 Golf Day PDF Print E-mail

This years Golf day has been scheduled for Sunday 6th October, at Oxley. Monday 7th is a public holiday so it will give you all plenty of time to recover.

Price this year are $50 for paid up members and $60 for guest and non members. For that you get 18 holes of Golf, shared golf buggy and lunch not to forget that you will be in with the chance to win some great prizes, depending on your golfing skills or if you can wrangle your way onto a team full of ringers!!!!. This has always been a great day out and is always enjoyed by everybody taken part .
